1st Sywell Air Scouts
Welcome to the 1st Sywell Air Scouts website.
Brand new in 2015 we are Northamptonshire’s only Air Scout Troop. Based at Sywell Aerodrome, we are ideally located between the towns of Wellingborough, Northampton and Kettering, allowing us to enjoy first class facilities at the heart of the Northants Aviation community.
Come along and meet us, and join in the fun!
We are open to existing Scouts or Explorers who wish to find out more about Aviation, or to new members aged between 10 – 18 years who wish to learn about Aviation, but also enjoy traditional Scouting activities and adventures.
Scouting offers challenge and adventure to 400,000 young people and 100,000 adults across the UK. We believe in helping our Members fulfil their potential by working in teams, learning by doing and thinking for themselves. We give people of every background the chance to stretch themselves, learn new skills and make lifelong friends.
The sky is not our limit…. Did you know? 11 of the 12 people to walk on the moon were once Scouts, including our very own astranaut Tim Peake!
